Mojgan Makki, MD, DFAACAP

Dr. Makki is a double board certified psychiatrist with American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, and the founder of Psychiatry Studio. She has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field providing services in private, community, and university systems focusing on teaching and mental health and wellness. 

​

Her clinical work is focused on evaluation and treatment of children and toddlers under 6 years of age, consultations for schools, second opinions for complex cases, and speaking engagements. She is licensed in states of Illinois, Missouri, and California.

Mojgan Makki
Heather Hill

Heather Hill, MD

​

Dr. Hill is a Board-certified psychiatrist with 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use disorders. Dr. Hill is certified in TMS treatments. Her practice style is one of collaboration and education, empowering her patients to understand their symptoms and choices in treatment options when seeking mental wellness and healing. She works with her patients to guide individualized treatment plans.

 

Dr. Hill earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri - Columbia and completed her residency in psychiatry at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. She has experience working in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric units, private psychiatry practice, and Veterans mental health clinic.

 

Dr. Hill  is available for tele-medicine and  in-person clinical services at our Chicago and St.Louis location.

Urooj Yazdani

Urooj Yazdani, MD

​

Urooj Yazdani holds an M.D. from the Chicago Medical School and an M.Ed. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She completed her adult psychiatric residency training at the University of Louisville and her pediatric psychiatry fellowship from the University of Chicago.

​

As a former teacher, her interests in the realm of child & adolescent psychiatry have been vast and include common physiological illnesses such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD as well as nuanced topics such as the manifestations of childhood trauma, refugee and immigrant mental health.

Sarah Bier, NP

​

Sarah Bier is a certified mental health nurse practitioner and nurse midwife. She prioritizes building a warm relationship to encourage client safety, collaboratively set wellness goals, and equip clients with information and knowledge to make decisions that feel right for each individual. In partnership with clients, Sarah will develop an individualized treatment plan that is meaningful, empowering, and aligns with client values, unique lived experiences, and current symptoms. A treatment plan may include any combination of lifestyle changes, supplements, alternative and complementary therapies, psychotherapeutic and/or pharmacologic options.

 

Sarah is experienced providing care across the lifespan. She enjoys building trusting and collaborative relationships with young people and emerging adults to equip each individual for success.

 

She has a special interest and extensive training in perinatal and reproductive mental health, health at every size, LGBTQIA and non-binary concerns, and mood and anxiety disorders. Sarah has completed advanced training with Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Women's Mental Health and is certified in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. She is a participant in the first national cohort of National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry: Intensive Advanced Curriculum, affiliated with Marce Society of North America. 

 

At Psychiatry Studio, Sarah’s clinical work is focused on evaluation and treatment of young adults and teens in community programs. Sarah also sees clients in the Northfield and Chicago offices. She is licensed in the state of Illinois.

Tina Mattera, MD

Dr Tina Mattera is a double board certified Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with extensive experience in inpatient and partial hospitalization care for children and adolescents including as medical director in both settings. She completed her Child and Adolescent fellowship at the University of Chicago after her general psychiatry residency at NYU/Bellevue. She is a member of the LSSC and FEDC Board of Directors which provides governance oversight for the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School and the Hyde Park Day Schools.

Victoria Kim, LCSW

Victoria Kim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working in the mental health field, providing services in both private and school based settings. She specializes in individual therapy in youth, family education and systems, as well as school-based needs.

 

Victoria is a patient-centered therapist. She believes in a non-judgemental approach to therapy that is both supportive and solution focused, where growth is accomplished through the development of therapeutic goals and taking steps toward those goals. She guides patients through incremental, intentional changes in behavior to improve personal and family functioning.

Marcia Leikin

Marcia Leikin, MD

Dr. Leikin is double board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry and neurology. She has over 30 years of experience in private practice using multiple modalities with a focus on psychotherapy combined with medication management. She has been involved in school consultation programs at multiple schools collaborating with staff, families and students to promote support and growth. She is a member of the Illinois Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and American Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Sara earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from the University of Missouri - Columbia. She has spent years helping clients achieve their personal health goals by working as a personal trainer and a nutrition counselor. As office manager, she works tirelessly to make sure members receive the utmost personalized care and that  each and every interaction is efficient and smooth.  She ensures our office runs efficiently on a daily basis.

She has over 10 years of experience in special education with various public school districts in Cook and Lake Counties. Jacquelyn Amashta
Medical Assistant @Clinic

Jackie has over ten years of experience working as a medical assistant with a focus on psychiatry and mental health. She insures member’s receive their medical needs addressed efficiently and properly. This includes ensuring prescriptions refill requests are completed on time, prior authorizations, form completions, or other medical needs that members may have during or in between appointments.

Gwen is dedicated to customer service and with a degree in business and IT, she ensures our clinic experience is always the best it can be. She works closely with the physicians, clinicians, and providers outside of Psychiatry Studio for individualized referrals for our members when needed . Outside of her critical role in the clinic, Gwen reaches out to schedule regular Meet & Greets with our team for future collaboration.
